Aperture 4 is on it’s way?

Ultimately image quality is what is important to me in photography. Lightroom 3 beats Aperture 3 in my book for image quality, and I’ve spent a lot of time with both (about 6 months each), making comparisons, and deciding what looks best to me. Actually, throw Capture NX2 into the mix, because I spent about 6 months with that, too. But I really like the Aperture interface and “Apple ecosystem” integration, so I’d switch to Aperture if the image quality and tools were to be upgraded to match that of Lightroom.

So now I’m trying to decide whether I should upgrade to Lightroom 4, because it makes even more improvements in the image quality department. If figured, though, that I’d wait for a bit more to see if an Aperture 4 could sway me. In my search for clues, I just happened upon a book on Apple Aperture 4 that is due out July 4, 2012. Does this mean it’s actually on its way? Check it out:
