Headphone Stand

I wanted a headphone stand that was functional, was inexpensive, and somewhat matched the iMac black and silver theme.  I found this at Sears:

And guess what.  It was only $11.69.  It’s actually a banana hanger!  The headphones can rest on the banana hook on the front or on the top.  There’s also a hook on the back for the cord which was really for the included banana slicer.  That’s right, I got a headphone stand *and* a banana slicer. 😀

Make your own White Noise Machine

One of our sons has a hard time sleeping.  We’ve tried lots of things.  He’s been through a sleep study, tonsils and adenoids were taken out, diet changes, etc.  Next on the list was white noise.  However, I didn’t want to spend the money on a white noise machine.  So I made my own, complete with a clock and an FM radio!

Jiffy Lube Experience

Everybody posts their Jiffy Lube experience on the web, right? Now I can fit in, too! My experience at the Lehi, UT Jiffy Lube was, well, eh… They did most everything almost right and made only one critical mistake! (From reading other posts, that’s actually pretty good.)

We Can Wash Clothes Again!

Two days before Christmas (Saturday night) Tara began the transfer of freshly washed clothes to the dryer. However, the clothes were not ready for the dryer. They were sopping wet! I wasn’t in the mood to really dig in and figure out what was wrong, but the thing absolutely would not spin. So Tuesday (the day after Christmas) we went to Home Depot and purchased a new washer. Lucky for us it wasn’t ready for delivery until January 3.

DavTar Case Mod (Part 2)

Here is part 2 of the DavTar case mod. For the disclaimer and more information, make sure to check the first posting in this two part series.

After getting the edge of the window cut I was excited to see how my etching skills would be. I already had some extra plexiglass lying around, so I thought it would be a good idea to practice first.

DavTar Case Mod (Part 1)

Have you ever wanted to mod your case? There came a time when I did. I may do it again someday. Maybe not. Regardless, it’s something that I’ve done once now, and am happy that I did. Hopefully as you peruse this post you will see something that will spark that creative genious lurking inside ready to cry out in the joy of releasing your wildest imaginations of computer case art. You know it’s in there.
